The Desothane® HS CA8200B is the dedicated activator component for the CA8200 series of high-solids polyurethane military and defence topcoats. It initiates the chemical cure of the CA8200 base, enabling the full performance properties of the coating system to be realised. The CA8200B activator is used at a mix ratio of 3 parts base to 1 part activator, combined with the appropriate CA8200C thinner selected to suit ambient temperature and required dry times.The CA8200 series topcoats are high-solids polyurethanes designed to protect the exterior of aircraft, applied over Desoprime™ epoxy primers and Koroflex® urethane primer. The activator should be added to the base component first and stirred well before the thinner is added under continued agitation. All components should be conditioned to ambient shop temperature prior to mixing.
