RETURNS POLICY

Returns

SIB offers a 10-day local returns policy, which means that customers have 10 days, after the delivery date, to request a return in the case the item is damaged, expired or defective. 

Items purchased outside of South Africa can be returned within 10 days of receipt.

To be eligible for a return, please send us an item return form (which can be found at: https://rb.gy/m0hj5, together with a copy of your purchase receipt, for approval by SIB and e-mailed to: returns@sib.co.za. Once approved, we will notify you and your item(s) may be returned. The item(s) must be in the same condition received, in its original packaging, unused, undamaged and with all labels intact.

A restocking charge of 15% of product sale price will be levied for items returned to SIB via client delivery, and 20% where SIB collects the item, as well as any shipping charges incurred.

Once received, and return condition criteria have been met, either a credit note will be issued, or a refund will be processed.

Exceptions / Non–Returnable Items

If an item has been tampered with or does not meet the return condition criteria, a refund or credit of this item will not be permitted, and the item must be collected back, at your own cost.

Discounted/sale/promotional items may not be returned nor exchanged.

Where a customer has used their own courier, we cannot be held liable for damage incurred during transportation after item has left our warehouse.

Paint mixes may not be returned.

Damaged Items

Customers are to inspect the delivered item(s) upon receipt. Any defective, damaged or incorrect item(s) needs to be reported to SIB within 7 days of delivery so that we can evaluate the issue and rectify.

SIB will not be held liable for any damage to item(s) that is delivered by the client's courier.

Item(s) that arrived damaged by SIB’s courier should not be accepted by the customer and returned immediately with the courier. Item(s) damaged by our courier will be replaced at no charge upon return of the damaged item(s).

If an item(s) is found damaged upon receipt, or faulty within warranty period, a return may be processed as per this returns policy. Once received and assessed, a full refund or credit will be issued if an item(s) is indeed found to be damaged and/or faulty. Any shipping charges incurred to receive the item(s) for assessment will be covered in full by SIB. The damaged item(s) will then be replaced within 3-5 business days depending on product availability.

Missing Items

Item(s) lost by our courier will be replaced at no charge.

SIB will not be held liable for any missing /item(s) that are lost by the customer's courier.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

The provision of products by SIB is subject to availability. In case of unavailability, SIB will, where possible, offer a substitute product or refund the client in full, within 30 days and in accordance with the refunds policy below.

SIB reserves the right to decline any exchange request should the item(s) not meet the return criteria (e.g. if the goods have been opened, used, damaged by the customer).

Refunds


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
