The 3M 86A promoter is designed to promote faster initial adhesion to certain types of surfaces, such as polyurethane paint, epoxy primers or epoxy composites. It prepares surfaces to enhance adhesion and increase durability of bonded assemblies. It's designed to work in conjunction with 3M polyurethane protective boots and tapes adhere to high surface energy substrates and surfaces. The polyamide, isopropyl alcohol based formula dries in 10 minutes to maximize work time and minimize downtime. This product comes in a one pint can for large area coverage related jobs. It is not intended for use where the acrylic adhesive would be in direct contact with aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, steel or glass.
